Circle-Stanford University Releases Open Source Protocols for On-Chain Theft and Illegal Financial Prevention
Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, the issuer of the dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC, announced via X (formerly Twitter), “We have released two open-source protocols in collaboration with the Cryptography Group at Stanford University aimed at preventing on-chain theft and illegal finance.” The first is a token standard that allows for the cancellation of transfers through various configurations, and the second is R-Pools, an insurance and liquidity model for recoverable tokens. Jeremy Allaire added, “These two open sources will pave the way for the global development of on-chain financial products and services.
