Himalaya Exchange Faces Lawsuit from 3,300 Customers Over $260 Million Seized by U.S. Government
The U.S. prosecution, having charged the CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Himalaya earlier this year, seized $260 million, prompting 3,300 exchange customers to file a lawsuit against the U.S. government, demanding the return of the funds. Previously, the prosecution had charged Miles Guo, the founder of Himalaya, with multimillion-dollar fraud. Customer representatives argue that despite the Justice Department’s assurance of protecting victims through the exchange fund seizure, the outcome has been quite the opposite.
