Despite Cryptocurrency Ban, Approximately 58 Million People in China Still Hold Crypto
CoinTelegraph, citing a recent report from CoinGecko, stated that “China has banned cryptocurrencies, but around 58 million people (4.08%) still hold crypto.” The report also highlighted, “El Salvador has less than 2% of its population holding cryptocurrency and is the only country in the world actively using cryptocurrency as legal tender. Among El Salvador’s population of 6.36 million, the number of people holding Bitcoin is 109,175, accounting for approximately 1.72%.
